1. AMC Sponsorships

Thank you to our sponsors. Without them, we would have to go asking Comcast and AT&T for sponsorships. (JUST KIDDING!)

But seriously, sponsorship is our most important source of funding after conference registrations. Nearly all money from sponsorships and over a third of the entire conference budget goes towards expanding participation in the AMC.

We want to give a special shout-out to Consumers Union and the Oakland University Department of Rhetoric, Communication and Journalism, two institutions who have, for the second year in a row, very generously invested in the AMC.

Also contributing this year are Free Press, the Media & Democracy Coalition, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and we've got lots more sponsorships now coming through the pipeline.

Organizations love to sponsor the AMC because they know it is the best way to reach the most innovative leaders in independent media and social justice organizing. 2. Session Proposals

Session proposals submissions are now closed.

Thanks to everyone who submitted proposals. We got way more proposals than ever before. We have enough for 3 AMCs. WOW! Unfortunately that means lots of people will not get to present, and we will have to make some very tough choices.

There are definitely enough session ideas to go around, though. Maybe you should consider organizing a media conference in your community? Bring the excitement and demand for independent media back home!

3. Registration

This might sound like a cheap trick-- but it's actually true-- our new website is awesome, but we are still sorting out a kink here and there. Can you help us test out our registration system? Register today and support the AMC by letting us know how the process goes for you.
